OSHA requires all rooftop fall hazards to be protected.  This sheet is a tool to help recognize all common rooftop hazards found in General Industry Environments.  If “yes” is selected in any category a Kee Safety Fall Protection Expert should be brought to site to assess the hazard and provide possible solutions.  

General Questions

  1. Is a rooftop drawing available and up-to-date?
  2. Are the Google Satellite views up-to-date?
  3. Is rooftop equipment maintenance completed by outside vendors, or onsite maintenance?
    1. Important note: The building owner is responsible for the safety of all personnel on their site.
  4. Are photos allowed to be taken on the roof?
  5. What type of roof surface is being assed?
    1. What is the roof slope?
